Yahoo Mail for iPad Goes HTML5

Remember all the fuss from Apple about banning Flash technology from being used in their products because its slow and un-responsive and Adobe’s reaction by banning their product from being used in any Apple product? Well that fuss has been gone for a long time now but the transition process from Flash to HTML5 is catching a good pace, as now Yahoo Mail has moved to HTML5.

Yahoo Mail for iPad HTML5

“If you’ve used our recently launched HTML5 mobile Web mail for iPhone you’ll feel right at home,” writes Lee Parry, product manager for Yahoo Mail. “We’ve kept all the things users love about our new mobile Web mail experience, while also optimizing for the gorgeous large screen of the iPad.”

The new version will store your Emails offline too, so you can always read or browse them even when you are not connected to the Internet. It also lets you view the attached photos in mail in their full, original size directly from your inbox. There’s a dual pane view too.

They have also improved the searching option in their service. Now you have various options available ranging from personal folders to most important contacts.

To access the iPad version of Yahoo mail, simply navigate to mail.yahoo.com using your Safari browser and enjoy the new experience.
