The only true competitor of iPhone in the market, HTC Hero, would be available for the customers of Verizon Wireless. Here’s a picture of a representative of Verizon holding the handset.

The phone doesn’t seem to be the standard HTC Hero phone as it is available in the market today. Some modifications are spotted in the picture including the replacement of regular hard buttons at the end by touch buttons. I wonder if that is just to show off or its really for something important?

Rest of the specs are expected to be same. The phone will be launched in the market by the end of November.
