Nokia Netbook will be Released this Spetember for $799

Nokia, by history is not a Computer assembler, not it has ever shown interest in building a laptop, but now it has announced to release its first ever netbook in September 2009. Following would be the features of the new netbook:
Announced Features
- 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor
- 120 GB hard disk
- 19.9 mm thick x 264 mm width x 185 mm depth
- 10.1 inch glass HD ready display
- 3G / HSDPA, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, integrated Bluetooth, A-GPS
- 12 hour battery life
- Built-in webcam for video calls
- HDMI port (for HD video out), built-in SD card reader, 3 USB ports, single audio in/out port
- Stereo speakers on front right and left corners
- Nokia Ovi Suite is bundled for tight integration with Nokia’s online services
- Built-in “Ovi Maps gadget”
- Windows 7 will come pre-installed
The Normal price for a notebook is less than $500, which means that Nokia would be facing a hell of a compeition after its launch. Though it does have got an edge over other netbooks in terms of 3G capability, HDMI port and GPS, but still price does matter.
Nokia hasn’t annouced if Windows 7 is bundled with the purchase or could be excluded. What I think is that to reduce the price, throw the Windows out. There are plenty of free awesome netbook OS already out in the market which could be a good replacement for Windows 7.
Lets see what happens in September
