Manually Upgrade Your Nexus One to Android 2.2 Froyo
Previously, we reported about the new Android 2.2, codenamed Froyo update rollout for Nexus One device which was available via OTA (Over the Air). The users of Nexus One were getting notifications on their cell phone about the update and using it, they could have easily jumped to the Android 2.2 version.

But that was not available for everyone. Google has started to roll out the Android 2.2 version to its Nexus One users in several phases and not all of them would get it at the same time, so if you haven’t got your notification yet, you can either wait for it, or download Android 2.2 (Froyo) manually from Google and install it on your Nexus One.
According to XDA-Developers, it only works if you have a “non-rooted stock ERE27 system” Nexus One. You can download it from here or here.
