For all those out there waiting for a new iPod Touch to compliment the beefier requirements of iOS 4, this might be music to your ears, in more ways than one. John Gruber from Daring Fireball has gone on to predict that the next-gen iPod Touch will release in the “next few weeks”, also giving credence to our earlier scoop on the issue.

What’s more, he’s followed that up with a few pics, which indicate that the new iPod Touch will follow the tradition of aping the latest iPhone design, only this time, hopefully with the inclusion of the Cameras.Follow the break for the pic.

Other features making the cut for the latest iPod Touch are Retina Display. Of course, not having to deal with dual antennas, the iPod Touch will not have to deal with the signal loss issues that has plagued the current breed of iPhone 4.
