iPhone 4 has been Unlocked Finally
iPhone 4 has now been finally unlocked but the details are still unknown. MuscleNerd and PlanetBeing were working together on this unlock for a long time now and finally they have managed to come up with a long-awaited unlock after an early jailbreak release.
Cracking the new baseband of iPhone 4 was not that easy as it required a complete re-development of Ultrasn0w program from the scratch, but the dev-team did that finally.
Here’s the tweet that broke the news about iPhone 4 being unlocked successfully:
Looks like I now have an unlocked iPhone 4.

Apple would soon be releasing another firmware, i.e. iOS 4.0.1/4.1 for iPhone 4 that would take care of the iPhone 4 reception problem. Lets see if that would be a hurdle in this unlock method.
Now it seems like all the pieces are in perfect place and all we have to do now is to wait for the detailed tutorial from the dev team about how to unlock the iPhone 4. Stay tuned to our blog as for complete details and related tutorials.
