The iOS 4.0 upgrade for iPhone 3G did not prove to be very healthy for the phone and resulted in slow response for the users. Its new upgrade, the iOS 4.1 which will now start shipping soon seems to be much lighter than its previous version and is running smoothly on iPhone 3G as compared to iOS 4.0.
