iClone beats the iPhone to the Punch

You gotta hand it to the Chinese; they are masters at the art of copying genuine designs in ingenious ways. They have a version of the iPad running some weird Windows 7 clone.

But in the case of the iPhone 4G/HD, they have beaten even the original to the market. Due to the countless leaks of the iPhone prototypes, they have pieced together a pretty good replica which contains among other things:

  • TV
  • Camera with flash,
  • Front facing camera.
  • TV antenna, replaceable battery pack.
  • Wifi.

The phone dubbed the GPS phone, runs a clone OS that tries to ape the iPhone OS, but falls well short of the mark. At least it runs java apps, so you can run your favorite Opera browser on it, and get internet messenger via eBuddy client. The GPS phone also lays claim to full MP3 and MP4 support. A TV antenna is also included to get better signal strength in reception shadows. It is the design of the iClone that is most astonishing though, as it manages to look the closest to the original leaked iPhone prototypes. Although one would think the quality will not be upto Apple standards.
