Droid Eris Eclair 2.1 Update is Around the Corner
Verizon Wireless has started to roll out the new updated firmware to their users, which will update their Verizon Motorola Droid Eris to Android 2.1. The up-gradation process has begun already and if you haven’t received your upgrade yet then don’t worry, You will soon get a notification from Verizon about updating your Android firmware.
The Verizon Motorola Droid Eris firmware update fixes several issues related with the performance of that device. The update includes some other cool apps, like free Yahoo Mail support, pinch-to-zoom Google Maps, enhanced Android Market and some other under-the-hood modifications.
If you are not willing to wait any further, then you can manually upgrade your droid firmware to Android 2.1 by navigating to Settings > About Phone > System Update. This will install the latest firmware on your Droid Eris.
