Rumors are in the air about the launch of a mini-iPad of 7-inch this winter before a session by Steve jobs, also known as Steve notes. The iPad would have all the same features like the regular iPad, the difference would be its relatively small screen of 7 inches instead of 9.7 inch.

The new iPad is rumored to be released at the eve of this Christmas and would be available in the price range of 330-350 USD typically. Whether it would be a WiFi model only or would also support 3G is still an unanswered question.

What else is rumored about this device is that it will also feature facetime, which means a front faced camera. I highly doubt that, as it will massively affect the sales of iPhone 4, as its currently the punchline of Apple for selling iPhone 4 – Communicate like never before using the facetime.

According to Engadget,

A DigiTimes piece, sourcing its own “analyst,” claimed that the device would be making a jump to the Cortex A9 processor core, 512MB of RAM  like the iPhone 4, and a 1,024 x 768 pixel IPS panel — the same resolution as the 9.7-inch iPad giving the new model a better pixel density
