Dell Aero Running Android coming soon to AT&T
Here’s another Dell phone that’s got a bit of the same schizophrenic thing going like the streak we mentioned earlier. Only this time, it tries to be like an iPhone OS. The newly announced Dell phone will be available from AT&T soon.

Dell has again made a custom home screen for the Aero, with more than a nod to the iPhone OS home screen. You get a row of four customizable most frequently used buttons at the top of the screen (instead of at the bottom of the iphone). Your other apps are also in a 4 x 4 grid that is sideways sliding unlike the Android’s ever lengthening pull-up app tray. More grid options are not confirmed at this time.
At 3.7 ounces, the Aero is shockingly light (the iPhone, by comparison, is 4.8 ounces, and the Motorola Droid is 6 ounces). But its feathery mass makes it a barely noticeable pocket companion (not back pocket friendly in other words).
All the other Android nuggets are accounted for, except in one crucial way – the Aero is devoid of the usual Android Home, Menu, and Back buttons. Instead, you get a dual action button a-la-iPhone, that goes back a page on one click and goes to the Home screen if you press-and-hold. (How you get to the various sub-menus of Android is beyond me)
Amazingly, the Aero is endowed with Quick Office Document Viewer and Editor, which as far as I can tell from our sneak peak, is not included on the supposedly-a-tablet Streak.
