You know about the fault, we even brought you the official Apple response (and Steve Jobs’ reply), now here is the solution to the signal loss problem that is making the lucky owners of the new iPhone 4 go banana on several internet forums.

Firstly, the problem is caused by fingers when they bridge the gap between the GSM and the WiFi antennae on the bottom left edge of the iPhone, which ofcourse causes the signal to drop into oblivion.

The Solution, as posted by Fast Company , is to get some sticky tape and paste about an inch’s worth across the gap, probably extending half an inch to either side on the metal edges. Keep it on the metal band only though, making sure to get the back edge, as that is the point that will most likely cause such a connection.

Of course if you don’t want to paste a bit of sticky tape on the world’s sexiest phone, you may have to shell out for the Johny Ive recommended solution, and use the iPhone bumpers.

A lot of people have complained about the loss of their AT&T 3G data connections on their iPhones after an iOS 4 update. TiPb has posted a fix that might work.

Use an iTunes with Administrator rights, or create a new admin ID.(This stops iTunes from looking at primary user info inside iTunes as that seems to be the issue)

Open iTunes 9.2 and plugin your iPhone, click on Restore, it will download the iOS again and load it on your phone.

Setup as new phone and after it sync’s, check Safari for internet access.

If that works, then login to your normal ID and rename your iPhone and RESYNC all your data.

If that doesn’t work out for you, you can try the good old default resetting network settings by going to Settings > General > scroll down to reset.

Do comment if this works out for you.

So Steve Jobs has completely screwed Adobe over their “Slow” and “non-open” Flash technology and have dropped it from all the Apple products. In reply, Adobe made a smart move by banning Apple to ever use Flash on their gadgets, but what about those thousands of people out there who love an iPad and want to see flash on it? Well, we have got a solution for them!

SmokeScren is the answer for the flash problem of iPhones and iPads, as it would make your iDevice compatible for Flash videos, so you can enjoy Hulu on iPad, or play farmville directly from facebook. You won’t even need to jailbreak your device for that.

According to the official statement by SmokeScreen founders:

“It runs entirely in the browser, reads in SWF binaries, unzips them (in native JS), extracts images and embedded audio and turns them in to base64 encoded data:uris, then stitches the vector graphics back together as animated SVG.”

Initial results of SmokeScreen have not been quite satisfactory and there were many glitches in the video during testing. The device was found quite less-responsive while playing flash videos. As this solution is based on JavaScript, the slow results were expected, but chances are that it will be improved with the arrival of next version.

While everyone is impressed with the Android OS 2.2 “froyo”, one of the most exciting additions to the Android OS isn’t actually slated to feature in this update of the mobile OS; namely the ability to push apps and music over the air to your Android phone.

However, the underlying framework is present in Froyo, so you can demo this feature on your Android 2.2 equipped phone, using Google Code. Apparently, you can get extensions for the Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers that can push URLs, Maps and other data directly to your device using your Google account. This way, you can share data between your phone and PC before you head off for a meeting, or better yet, push interesting data to all your friends using a shared Google account, on-the-move.

How to Push Data From PC to Android Froyo 2.2

Use your Android 2.2 phone to download the Google Chrome to Phone Extension application here. (Make sure Settings > Applications > Unknown Sources is checked if you’re installing over USB, or use Barcode Reader (highly recommended!) to scan that QR code.)

Get the Firefox version here.

In your web browser of choice, log into your Google Account.

On your phone, start the Chrome to Phone application.

In the app, add the Google Account you’d like to share with.

Click on “Register Device” to link your account to the Google Chrome to Phone service.

Now just open that web browser, and post something you’d like to share directly to your phone by clicking the new icon in the toolbar.

This way you can continue your PC browsing sessions on-the-go, or send the google route you planned at home to the phone so that you can actually use it to navigate rather than memorize the directions from your PC session.

Now, there is another service which lets you know when someone unfollows you from twitter.

This service won’t bug you repeatedly if you happen to face mass unfollow, they offer this service on their website. To check your stats, you would be required to visit their website and login to your account.

All you have to do is to follow @goodbyebuddy on Twitter and you are set. Your unfollow list would be maintained on their website which you can visit any time to check the report. Website’s address is given in their twitter profile.

You can also find out which of your friends on facebook has removed you as a friend. See this post for more details.

Previously, we posted a video in which Android was shows running successfully on an iPhone 2G. In those days, they had successfully ported Android on iPhone 2G and were working on bringing it to other models of iPhone. Now, we have got reports that they have also successfully ported Android OS to iPhone 3G.

Its similar to what we had before for Android. Dual-boot OS would be installed and you will be asked to choose your OS while starting your iPhone. You can select from iPhone OS and Android, and the selected one will easily be loaded.

This Android on iPhone is not that stable, and you might not want to be addicted to it on your device. Its good fun, but making it a permanent OS for your phone won’t be a good idea. The reason is the bad power management of Android on iPhone which could drain your battery within few hours of usage. This area has yet to be taken care of.

Procedure for installing Android on iPhone is similar to that of installing Android on iPhone 2G. Follow the instructions given there and you will be running Android on your iPhone 3G within no time.

If you are interested in getting more in depth details of the procedure, then you can find it on PC World blog over here,
