PS3Key is an another cheap and affordable way to hack or jailbreak your PS3. As we discussed earlier on How to Hack Your PlayStation 3 (PS3) with Nexus One or HTC Desire, we have now came across another and comparitively easy method on how to hack your PS3 using a USB device.

The device is called PS3Key and would be launching soon in the market. PS3Key can jailbreak playstation 3 running on firmware 3.41. This jailbreak is almost the same but requires you to purchase a USB mod chip.

Here are the main features of PS3Key:

USB Plug and Play solution that installs in seconds without any need to open up the PS3.

Does not break your warranty seal.

Compatible with all PS3 models, both Fat and Slim.

Supports all regions: USA, JAP, PAL and KOREA.

USB device fully updatable by PC.

Disables forced software updates and will never brick your console.

Supports most games and homebrew applications.

Easy-to-use software for backing up, managing, and playing games from external USB Hard Drive.

Playing games from HDD is much more enjoyable, benefiting from greatly enhanced seek and loading times.

Supports installing homebrew application on PS3 and external USB media.

Optionally PS3Key can be supplied with an “open” firmware which does not support backup loading. Users would then have to download a firmware update for PS3Key to get full functionality.

Only works on Firmware 3.41 for now.

How to Order your PS3Key Mod Chip?

You can order your PS3Key USB Mod chip from bestmodchips.com for a price of USD 49. You can also visit their official website here for more details.

The new version of iTunes – iTunes 10 which has been recently announced in the Apple Music Event 2010 has an important revamp and thats its icon. From logo to the User Interface, they have changed most of it and some people might not like it.

In the event, Steve Jobs said that finally its time to remove the CD image from iTunes icon since no one uses it to store their music. So in iTunes 10, they replaces the CD icon with another logo which is posted below:

The logo would remain same, but if you want to change the internal icons of iTunes 10, then there’s a ‘fix’ for that according MacRumors.

You simply download a new iTunes.rsrc file and shut down iTunes and replace it with the one you’ve just downloaded. When you restart, its like you’ve never updated (except Ping is still there).

So you have accidentally dropped your expensive, cool iPhone in water and now you are wondering if it would ever work like before again? Well, you don’t need to worry because there is a fix for that.

Normally if you drop any electronic item in water including iPhone, then most probably its life is over, but according to a Youtube video there is a way which can help you to recover your iPhone that was soaked in water to its original state.

I found this help on a website called ifixyouri and this is how its supposed to be done according to them:

It is imperative to remove the iPhone out of the water ASAP. Once the iPhone is out of the water, you want to make sure it is powered off.

If you get a white pinwheel on the screen and it won’t turn of, you hold down the power button and home button until it turns off. In the video we failed to record it powering back on after we powered it off. We simply repeated the ‘power off process’ and moved on to the next important step; remove the SIM card.

Once the SIM card is removed you want to put the iPhone in an uncooked bag of rice. Tighten the bag so all extra air is gone and seal it.

Wait 48 to 76 hours after the water exposure and then try it out. If you find at that time it is not functioning properly as a result of the iPhone water damage put back in the rice and mail to us.

They have also posted a video tutorial on how to do it. You can check it out in the video below:

You know about the fault, we even brought you the official Apple response (and Steve Jobs’ reply), now here is the solution to the signal loss problem that is making the lucky owners of the new iPhone 4 go banana on several internet forums.

Firstly, the problem is caused by fingers when they bridge the gap between the GSM and the WiFi antennae on the bottom left edge of the iPhone, which ofcourse causes the signal to drop into oblivion.

The Solution, as posted by Fast Company , is to get some sticky tape and paste about an inch’s worth across the gap, probably extending half an inch to either side on the metal edges. Keep it on the metal band only though, making sure to get the back edge, as that is the point that will most likely cause such a connection.

Of course if you don’t want to paste a bit of sticky tape on the world’s sexiest phone, you may have to shell out for the Johny Ive recommended solution, and use the iPhone bumpers.

A lot of people have complained about the loss of their AT&T 3G data connections on their iPhones after an iOS 4 update. TiPb has posted a fix that might work.

Use an iTunes with Administrator rights, or create a new admin ID.(This stops iTunes from looking at primary user info inside iTunes as that seems to be the issue)

Open iTunes 9.2 and plugin your iPhone, click on Restore, it will download the iOS again and load it on your phone.

Setup as new phone and after it sync’s, check Safari for internet access.

If that works, then login to your normal ID and rename your iPhone and RESYNC all your data.

If that doesn’t work out for you, you can try the good old default resetting network settings by going to Settings > General > scroll down to reset.

Do comment if this works out for you.

So Steve Jobs has completely screwed Adobe over their “Slow” and “non-open” Flash technology and have dropped it from all the Apple products. In reply, Adobe made a smart move by banning Apple to ever use Flash on their gadgets, but what about those thousands of people out there who love an iPad and want to see flash on it? Well, we have got a solution for them!

SmokeScren is the answer for the flash problem of iPhones and iPads, as it would make your iDevice compatible for Flash videos, so you can enjoy Hulu on iPad, or play farmville directly from facebook. You won’t even need to jailbreak your device for that.

According to the official statement by SmokeScreen founders:

“It runs entirely in the browser, reads in SWF binaries, unzips them (in native JS), extracts images and embedded audio and turns them in to base64 encoded data:uris, then stitches the vector graphics back together as animated SVG.”

Initial results of SmokeScreen have not been quite satisfactory and there were many glitches in the video during testing. The device was found quite less-responsive while playing flash videos. As this solution is based on JavaScript, the slow results were expected, but chances are that it will be improved with the arrival of next version.
