Guess which application is currently topping the Apple iPad app store? Its none other than the twitter application for iPad which has just been released and dubbed as the most complete application for iPad so far.

Some of its main features as mentioned in their official blog are:

Panes: Tapping on a Tweet opens a pane to the right. Depending on the content in that Tweet, you’ll see a video or photo, or maybe a news story, or perhaps another Tweet. You can continue tapping on Tweets, opening new panes, and getting new content as long as you’d like to. And, it’s really easy to move between panes by swiping to the right or left.

Media: When you tap a video link or open a web page with an embedded video, you can play that video inline. And, let’s be honest, video is great but sometimes it can take some time to load. The panes in Twitter for iPad let you look through your timeline while a video is loading, and then you can just swipe back to the video when it’s ready to play. You can also pinch on a video to watch it fullscreen.

Gestures: You can pinch on a Tweet to quickly view details about the author and to take actions on a Tweet, such as reply or retweet. Put two fingers together and pull down on a Tweet to peek at the replies, showing the entire conversation leading to that Tweet.

No need to login: You don’t even need to sign up to get started with Twitter for iPad. We’ve selected great Twitter accounts that you can see in various categories, such as Art & Design, Sports, and News. You can also search, view trends, and find breaking news. Sign up at any time to create your own timeline and start tweeting.

It has not been too long since Apple released its iPad, and since the launch of the iPad app store, the market has been flooded with a huge number of apps, a large percentage of which are available internationally, providing their services in a wide arena of possibilities. Despite of the fact that it has not been too much time since the iPad app store was launched, the prices of these apps are higher than the general economy of the Apple Apps store. But, yes, certainly these impressive apps are worth enough to be paid that much.

10 Best iPad Applications

It seems that you have your Apple iPad in your hands and are thinking hard in deciding which apps to purchase, or which may suit you. If thats the case then you don’t need to worry as I have managed to choose the following Apps that I believe are packed with the essential features, are user friendly, and guarantee their usefulness throughout the globe.

1. iPassword

It is a very useful app, as it stores the passwords in encrypted form ensuring protection. Login category is dedicated for storing the usernames and passwords of web services, and Wallet category for storing credit cards numbers, contact details and identities. For iPad owners, it costs $6.99.

2. Kindle

It is an online book store from Amazon, which lets you purchase and read books on the fly, with the specialty of automatically saving the bookmarks where you left reading the last time. This iPad app features colorful menus, with animated switching, and touch screen feature; amazing content selection, and is packed with a huge library of books.

It also integrates seamlessly with Amazon Kindle.

3. Netflix

This Netflix app for iPad allows the users to watch streaming movies, and TV shows, from a huge collection of 20,000+ movies at an unlimited membership starting from $8.99 per month. It also allows users to maintain their queues as per their preferences. The best feature is that it commits to memory, the place where you stopped watching the movie last time, and resumes, when requested.

4. TweetDeck

This app is stunning for streaming your Facebook, and specially your Twitter accounts. It provides access to @mention, messages, search histories, your Twitter lists and much more. It is popular in iPad users due to its being a free desktop client.

5. ESPN ScoreCenter XI

For sporty iPad owners, this is your perfect match, as this app streams video highlights, live scores, standings, summaries, being collected from hundreds of global leagues, and sport events around the globe, available at the price tag of just $5.

6. IM+

Based on the layout emphasizing and multi-protocol messaging standards, this iPad app allows its users to chat using a single app from accounts of various messengers, and online social networks. It relieves its users from the hassle of managing several messengers. This app costs around $10.

7. iDisplay

For improving productivity, to increase facilitation in terms of screen area, here is another iPad app, which allows user to extend the display of their MAC by keeping it aside of an iPad. The screen of the iPad is then treated as an extra display area for MAC screen which helps in increasing the workspace area for the user.

8. Real Racing HD

As its name justifies, this iPad app is a robust car racing game. The game features, cogent use of accelerator, appealing sounds, high quality graphics, and excellent gameplay.

9. Square

This app is like a gift for businessmen and merchants as it enables them to make payments through credit cards using their iPads. It behaves as a cash register, as it figures out sales tax based on the amount, and produces an email or SMS receipt as per demand. It does this by using the credit card swiper peripheral and, maintains security by taking finger signatures on the touch screen.

10. NYT’s Editor’s Choice

It features latest news, opinions, forecasts, articles, videos, and slide shows covering aspects of current affairs, business, and technology. It also enables downloading of articles and sharing it via email with others.

This was my version of the top ten iPad apps. What is on your mind? Are these your preferences as well? If not then let us know about the apps you think are worth mentioning and share your favorites with others.

All you have to do is to follow @goodbyebuddy on Twitter and you are set. Your unfollow list would be maintained on their website which you can visit any time to check the report. Website’s address is given in their twitter profile.

You can also find out which of your friends on facebook has removed you as a friend. See this post for more details.

Google Buzz has kicked start by integrating some existing social networking services in one, like Flickr and Twitter, but now there are more than one way to send tweets through your Google Buzz account. As this service by Google was already considered to be a “Twitter Killer”, Google has made it more lethal by integrating twitter in their network, so it becomes a one-stop shop for some of your online activities.

Now how do we send tweet from Google Buzz? There’s a service called Buzz can tweet which can enable us to do so. Your buzz will automatically be sent to your Twitter account and will include a backlink to your buzz being sent to twitter. Another feature is that, you can control your Buzzes. Only messages with the hash-tag “#twitter” will be send out to your twitter account. You can change this hash-tag to whatever you want to.

With Buzz Can Tweet, you can also integrate your bit.ly account for sharing links.

You can also make most out of the Google Buzz service by trying out their new Desktop client. Details are over here.

Ever wondered that if the person you’re following on twitter is following you back? or is he/she not interested in getting your updates? Though there are many websites which are offering such services, but I have come across one with a simple and easy-to-use interface which does the job.

This website comes in handy at those times when you’ve got hundreds or thousands of followers, and don’t have the time to go to the another user’s twitter page and browse who he or she is following. That could be tedious. This website provides a solution for that. Its not only useful for knowing if a particular person is following you on twitter, but you can also find if any person follows any other person in particular. All you need to do is to visit doesfollow.com and find out.

At that website, you’ll be given a simple form:

In order to find out if someone follows you on twitter, simply put the twitter ID of the other user first and yours after that. You’ll know the answer.

Similarly, you can even find “Does <anyone> follow <anyone>?” Its easy to use and the quickest way to know if any particular user is following you on twitter.

Warning: Curiosity could bring unexpected Results

The rumor has it that twitter might launch its video service soon in the near future. Though several companies like Twideo and Tweetube are already providing the service of sharing videos with your followers, but they haven’t gained much popularity.

Twitter is rumored to start the same service, which would support pics and videos simultaneously. The service for sharing pics on Twitter, twitpic, has been magnificently successful and its about time that twitter will include such services for their users; but adding videos doesn’t make quite a sense. Would they be declaring a time limit on the length of videos? Won’t be a good idea I think.

The basic concept behind this whole story is to enable the user to record small videos of their tweet, using their webcam or mobile camera, and then upload it on twitter.

There has been no official word from Twitter regarding this until now. We’ll keep you updated as they story develops

Though iTunes 9 already have a remarkable feature of Social media Integration, which publishes your chosen stories on your selected Social Media Networks, this application also comes in handy when it comes to enjoying Music from iTunes.

Share what you’re listening to in iTunes with your Twitter followers with TunesTweeter for Windows. It’s a simple application that runs in the system tray and automatically updates your Twitter status with the song title and artist that you’re currently listening to.
