The Android 2.2 (Froyo) is so far the best version of Android OS currently available for Android devices. Though, its officially available for Nexus One so far only but the platform itself is quite powerful and is expected to be available for other devices very soon.

AT&T has finally rolled out Over the Air (OTA) update of Android 2.2 Froyo FRF85 build to their customers who own Nexus One. Its a gradual roll out of updates so those of you who haven’t received it yet don’t need to panic, you will soon receive a notification.

iPhone 4, which was just released in the WWDC 2010 conference along with iOS4 is currently the center of attraction for all mobile application developers. They consider this move from Apple as remarkable, and think that this release is enough to rule their already-captured dominance in the market.

While everyone is impressed with the Android OS 2.2 “froyo”, one of the most exciting additions to the Android OS isn’t actually slated to feature in this update of the mobile OS; namely the ability to push apps and music over the air to your Android phone.

Previously, we reported about the new Android 2.2, codenamed Froyo update rollout for Nexus One device which was available via OTA (Over the Air). The users of Nexus One were getting notifications on their cell phone about the update and using it, they could have easily jumped to the Android 2.2 version.

Google has started rolling out its latest firmware update – Android 2.2 (codenamed Froyo) for its Nexus One Users. Users of Nexus One must have already got a “Firmware Update Available” notification on their devices, and they can use that to upgrade. Else, you can do that manually too from your Nexus One.

The latest version of Flash, which is Flash 10.1 has been spotted running with its full features on an NexusOne phone, which is supposedly the Android 2.2, codenamed “Froyo”. The Android 2.2 firmware is supposed to be fully compatible with the Flash based services on Android based phones.

Engadget is reporting that according to telegraph, Nexus One will be available for UK-based customers of Vodafone by April of this year. Without revealing the source, telegraph states that it would be launched to an unknown price, but chances are that it would cost almost same as an iPhone.
