AT&T has finally rolled out Over the Air (OTA) update of Android 2.2 Froyo FRF85 build to their customers who own Nexus One. Its a gradual roll out of updates so those of you who haven’t received it yet don’t need to panic, you will soon receive a notification.

While everyone is impressed with the Android OS 2.2 “froyo”, one of the most exciting additions to the Android OS isn’t actually slated to feature in this update of the mobile OS; namely the ability to push apps and music over the air to your Android phone.

Previously, we reported about the new Android 2.2, codenamed Froyo update rollout for Nexus One device which was available via OTA (Over the Air). The users of Nexus One were getting notifications on their cell phone about the update and using it, they could have easily jumped to the Android 2.2 version.

Google has started rolling out its latest firmware update – Android 2.2 (codenamed Froyo) for its Nexus One Users. Users of Nexus One must have already got a “Firmware Update Available” notification on their devices, and they can use that to upgrade. Else, you can do that manually too from your Nexus One.

The most anticipated Android Froyo 2.2 which was expected to be released soon is now finally out. Tons of new features has been announced and several tweaks have been made as compared to its earlier version, Android 2.1 Éclair. Android 2.2 Froyo was released today at Google I/O conference 2010.
