At long last, the rumored, and much-awaited Magic Trackpad has been released by Apple to enable MacBook-like Multi-Touch functionality to its desktop line. The launch was a quiet launch, as far as Apple goes, just a simple update in its website, along with a refreshed Mac Pro and iMac line.
Early this morning, Apple’s online store went offline for maintenance. It returned with a bounty of new products, including updated iMacs and Mac Pros, a 27″ Cinema Display, and the long-rumored Magic Trackpad.
The French site hardmac has revealed that the renewal of the Mac line is in the offing, including the Mac Pro. The launch is planned for the end of the summer, making it a ‘back-to-school’ season launch for Apple. The iMac update should follow in the autumn.
Apple has released an update for Mac OS X 10.6.4 Snow Leopard for their users. The file size for update is 315.5 MB and is loaded with tons of under-the-hood software fixes. The update can be downloaded via System Software Update application or directly from the Software Downloads page here.
