The new firmware for Apple devices that has been launched before to cover the exploit used by JailbreakME has now been patched by Apple with the release of iOS 4.0.2. The new firmware update was already made available for iPhone and iPod touch 3G, but now its also available for iPhone 2G users.

There might be a few other changes in it besides the obvious cure for jailbreak hole, but if you love your iPod touch 2G jailbroken, then our advice is that do not upgrade, or else you would stuck with a jailbroken iPod touch.
