Two days ago Apple announced a ‘Rock and Roll‘ themed music event that shall be held on September 9th, 2009 (that would be 9/9/9). The event seems to be totally dedicated to the launch of upcoming new generation iPods or a bit more than that.

Attractions of the Event

Though no one is certain about the agenda of that event, or what exactly Apple has intended to launch during this event, but as always, rumors are around the web of many fancy Apple-fantasy type of stuff, which every gadget lover would be willing to have. Lets take a quick look at what these are.

iPods with Camera

Rumor has it that Apple would be announcing a new series of iPod and iPod touch in their rock and roll event which would include a camera too. This feature alone could prove to be a strong advantage over several other similar products like Zune HD, etc. Lets see how that would turn out.

Third Generation of iPod Touch

Wondering what more they could add on an iPod touch? Well, there’s a lot of undone work. The possible upgrades in third generation iPod touch could include support to play 1080p HD videos, which 3GS can’t play officially. Plus, they could always provide their users with more memory (upto 64GB, maybe more) and wouldn’t it be wonderful if they ship their latest iPod touch with a microphone to perform VoIP calls? Yes, it would, but they won’t probably do that, because it could potentially put a dent to the sale of their iPhones, thats a calculated fact.

A Next Generation Apple TV

One thing for sure that Apple has to do a lot of work on this product, since its not been feature-extensive since its launch (Which it could be). So there’s a big possibility that Apple might announce a new generation of Apple TV in this event with some new fascinating features. Can’t wait for the event

Now this thing is roaming through the internet so much that Apple would be disappointing their fans if they don’t come up with a new version of iTunes which supports Social Media. This feature has also got potential to increase their sales in iTunes store, by advertising the purchase of their customers (with their permission, of course) to their friends. It could be like Your friend XYZ bought these tracks, would you be interested too? and similar stuff.

Though this gadget has been rumored a lot there’s nothing on the net which could clarify whether Apple has got intentions to announce it on this event. Probably this won’t happen right now, as the event is dedicated solely to iPods, but we might see this thing soon in future.
