Apple iPod event 2010 to be held next week [rumor]

Could the rumors be true, according to this Brazilian Mac site, the annual Apple iPod event, usually held in September, could be held on August 16th or 17th, or in the last week of august.
According to the site’s “reliable source within Apple,”, Apple plans to refresh the iPod line and unveil the next generation (hopefully iPhone 4 inspired) iPod Touch in the event.
If these dates are true, we could also see the unveiling of the new iLife ’11 software suite, as some rumors on Mac rumors suggest.
If the dates of the planned event are true, we could see the press invitations landing on media doorsteps in a day or two, as Apple usually gives the media a nine or seven day lead time to any upcoming event. Keep your fingers crossed and watch this space for further developments.
