Apple Announces eBook Store for iPad
Apple has entered the battle arena for digitizing the books and is now in direct competition with Amazon Kindle. The Amazon Kindle had captured the ebook-reading-on-portable-device market for quite a while now, but now there’s a very strong competitor in the market, which is iPad.

Apple has planned to launch an application, called iBook, which would basically be a store to purchase eBooks for your iPad library.
The books will be displayed in a beautiful shelf on your iPad, simply tap on any book you’d like to read and it will open up in front of you in a beautiful animated way.

The overall book reading experience on iPad would be more appealing than the Kindle because of its easy-to-use and beautiful graphical interface (GUI).
According to Steve Jobs, “Amazon has done a great job of pioneering this tech. We’re gonna stand on their shoulders and go farther. Five of the largest publishers in the world are supporting us with all their books and we want everyone in there.”
The application would also have the feature to embed podcasts and videos to you ebook to make it more interactive and lively. You can also change the font style of your downloaded ebooks.
Transfering Purchased Kindle eBooks on iPad
If you already own a Kindle, and don’t want to re-purchase a book just to read it on iPad, then you can try Kindle iPhone application on your iPad. It will automatically download all your Kindly purchased eBooks on your iPhone or iPad and you would be able to enjoy the almost same experience, as of iBook. That could also help you with your ebook management on Kindle and iBook store and could also save you some bucks.
