Android users click more Mobile ads than iOS users

Here’s something that the folks over at Cupertino  might not like, it seems that the users of iOS devices are not likely to be  as ad savvy as their Android counterparts.

People using phones that run the Android OS click on ads 81 percent more often than people on the iPhone, according to online ad network Chitika. Examining click rates across the Chitika network, the company found that “Android users are by far more valuable individually than iPhone users.”

Based on a sample of about 1.4 million users, click-through rates for iPhone users was about 0.65 percent, while rates for Android users were at 1.19 percent. Chitika ads display in the same manner on Android phones and the iPhone, the company said.

As Android continues to grow in market share, it will be interesting to see how this figure changes,” Chitika wrote in a blog post. “For now, however, it is obvious that Android users should be high up on the list of targets for mobile advertisers.
