Engadget has reported that new firmware update for Android, which is Android 2.1 is expected to be rolled out soon by Verizon Wireless in USA. They reported this on the basis of an internal email by Verizon which claimed that the Droid owners will soon receive notifications about the firmware update to Android 2.1

Previously, we had a demo video by GeoHot about the Untethered Jailbreak for iPhone OS 3.1.3. Now another hacker, named “Comex” has managed to bring first-ever browser based untethered Jailbreak for OS 3.1.3 on iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.

The renowned hacker of iPhone, George Hotz, also knows as GeoHot has announced an under development tool which will Untethered Jailbreak iPhone and iPod touch running on OS 3.1.3, and most probably, also the upcoming iPads. Though there OS would be different, but same technology could be developed further.

Apple iPad is now available for pre-order. The Apple store has just been updated and now they are displaying the two versions of iPad for sale, the one with the Wi-Fi only, and the other one with Wi-Fi and 3G. Data plans for iPad 3G are sold separetly.
